Our new House

In the half term holidays we moved into our brand new house. The house is called Peel. It took a long time to move all of our things into our bedrooms, as both of us have lots of toys and teddies, but we spent the whole weekend making them look exactly like we wanted. We made a poster for our front door to let everybody know that we had arrived and made a really big chocolate cake with the staff to celebrate. Our favourite rooms in the whole house are our bedrooms because we chose the colours ourselves.

Last week Some of our Young People enjoyed a day with Fay From Acorn Central Team, and a professional Crew,  taking Pictures to be used for a variety of mediums. Please see some of the fantastic results below. All the Young People really enjoyed the opportunity and the experience, and are thrilled about the prospect of being featured in publictaions!

Recent Inspection

On the 19th and 20th of October 2011 Our Children's Homes were inspected by Ofsted. During this visit the inspector looked at the key areas including, Outcomes for Young People, Quality of Care, Safeguarding, Leadership and Management, and Overall Effectiveness. We were judged Outstanding in all areas and were highly praised for the last 12 months developmental work that had occurred. Needless to say we are all over the moon with this Judgement and look forward to developing the service further to continually improve and develop. The report will follow in the next 15 days I will provide more feedback on here about the judgements and feedback on receipt. Thanks too everyone who has been involved and supported the Organisation and more importantly the Young People we accommodate to grow, learn, and achieve.
